Fundraiser at Terra Restaurant
A big thank you to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser at Terra Restaurant on September 20th!
We raised over $3000 for the Clinic and had a fun evening while doing that. Huge thanks as well to all of our celebrity servers, the rest of the Terra waiters and waitresses, and community members that donated items for our silent auction. It was a great success!

Soldiers Fundraising Ride
The Road Soldiers held their 2nd annual Samaritan Outreach Assistance Ride to benefit the Lackey Free Clinic! Supported by over 30 local businesses and churches, more than 60 riders came out on a beautiful (hot) summer day and raised $2700!

Road Soldiers Ride to Support Lackey Free Clinic
The Road Soldiers Motorcycle Association’s first annual Samaritan Outreach Assistance Ride raised over $2,000 to benefit Lackey Free Clinic. Saturday, June 27, almost 100 motorcyclists gathered at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Yorktown to support this S.O.A.R. ride.
This local Motorcycle Association was formed in support of the Army’s Motorcycle Mentorship Program (MMP). It is open to all Fort Eustis and Fort Story DoD employees (Military or Civilian) and Retirees. This creates the chance for all motorcycle enthusiast to come together to reinforce Motorcycle Safety Awareness through the mentorship of riders sharing knowledge.
Lackey Free Clinic is a faith-based facility located at 1620 Old Williamsburg Road, Yorktown, VA and has provided services for over 13 years. Offering free medical care, dental care and prescriptions, the clinic strives to build a bridge of healing and compassion to serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the medically disadvantaged on the Peninsula. Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2009 Raises Over $2,000 for Free Clinics
Ben & Jerry’s held their annual Free Cone Day on Tuesday, April 21 at 332 Water Street, Bldg L, Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown. For the fourth year Bob D’Eramo, the owner of Ben & Jerry’s has selected three local free clinics Lackey Clinic in Yorktown, the HELP Clinic in Hampton, and the Gloucester - Mathews Clinic to be the recipients of all of the collections. Over $2,000 was raised for these clinics that offer free medical and dental care and prescriptions to the uninsured.

The Lions Club of Williamsburg
Mobile Screening Unit
The Lions Club of Williamsburg pulled their mobile screening unit into the clinic parking lot on Saturday, March 21, 09 and screened 24 patients to establish hearing and vision loss. Patients were given referrals to the various Lions Club locations to follow up.

Lackey Free Clinic Benefits from Kiwanis Club One Day Spring Cleanup

The Tabb and York Kiwanis Clubs held a one day spring cleanup on April 4, 2009 at the Lackey Free Clinic. Thirteen Kiwanis members worked all day pressure washing the outside, washing the windows inside and out and sprucing up the grounds and building.
Kiwanis members are guided by the following Key Principles: to give importance to the human and spiritual rather than the material values of life, to encourage living by the Golden Rule, to promote higher social, business, and professional Standards, to encourage and be servant leaders, to build Kiwanis Clubs that build Lasting Friendships and serve and strengthen local communities and to promote justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
